Progressive Trial Lens Set (Steel)

Usage:

For progressive multifocal lenses optometry. Contains lenses ADD +1.00 D ~ 3.50D, 0.25D per step.

Progressive area of short channel (12mm) design.

Method of use

1. Coordinate with standard 232 or 266 type of trial lens set, preferably with a metal ring (ID38mm) trial lens set to use, with adjustable IPD trial frame to try it on.

2. Identification mark

① horizontal reference line: temporary markers into a mirror mounted horizontal line corresponds to detect the correct axial astigmatism lenses.

② invisible permanently marked: marked with a temporary restoration,it’s 34mm between two distances.

③ far measurement zone: Test distance lens power

④ near measuring zones: Test near distance lens photometric and ADD.

⑤ glasses cross mark: corresponding pupil height of glasses，it usually in 2mm above of point of prism.

⑥ ADD mark: To photometric of lenses.

⑦ prism reference point: It’s 2/3 of ADD.

3. Examination of near diopter

cross-grid method:

Place ± 0.50DC cross cylinder in front ,axis in the negative 90 and positive axis 180, If vertical lines and horizontal lines appear as the same clear or the same vague, no plus ADD. Otherwise,plus ADD until they are the same clear.

② empirical method: (Age -30) × 0.1 = ADD

ADD of adolescents generally is +1.50 DS.

4. When Optometry program is finished, select the appropriate ADD value lenses and insert into the trial frame, the handle is located on the above of horizon line of both lens frame. The horizontal scale must coincide with 0 ° ~ 180 ° horizontal logo of the trial frame.

5. Adjust IPD of trial frame to exact location.

6. Inspect visual effects of middle and near distance,and change trial lenses to the best vision performance. Please don’t move when take the trial frame.Can check folded newspaper in near and far distance,to feel whether it’s clear.Also should know how to change sight by turning head. Turning eyes to check far,middle and near distance.Turning around eyes to pay attention to the existence of deformation zone.And tell customers to turn their heads but not turn their eyes when checking the objects in right and left.

7. In order to ensure proper glasses distance,progressive lenses should be placed in the inner layer of trial frame.
